. . . to talk about PRIVILEGE!

I've noticed some comments asking about the timing of PRIVILEGE and what exactly the series is, so get ready! Here are some answers for you:

Privilege is my brand-new series that is coming out on December 30th! Like LAST CHRISTMAS, the Private Prequel, the series is told from Ariana's point of view. It takes place a year and a half after she was arrested for Thomas's murder, which means that timing-wise, it's a little ahead of Private–for now at least For those of you who've read the sneak peek, you know that it begins when Ariana is still in a mental institution, and not happy about it. Ariana has a lot of dreams about her future, and NONE of them involve being in prison. I don't want to give too much away (I love a good surprise), but suffice it to say that Ariana's a little too smart to stay locked up for long…

So spend this weekend rereading all your favorite Private books, adding people to your suspect list, and preparing to be shocked by all the juicy revelations. And for those of you who were lucky enough to get their hands on copies already, thank you for not posting spoilers!

Hi all,

So many theories–and so little time until you find out the truth! REVELATION comes out on September 16th, which is only a few short weeks away. And as Casey pointed out in the comments, there is only a 20-day wait between REVELATION and LAST CHRISTMAS: The Private Prequel!! Then, it's only two months until PRIVILEGE comes out. And guess what?! There are teasers for both LAST CHRISTMAS and PRIVILEGE in the back of REVELATION, so you'll have a head start on those books as well. You’re all going to be very busy.

As I mentioned in my last blog, for all of you who were worried that Private is ending, you can rest easy. I'm starting to work on the next two books, PARADISE LOST and SUSPICION, which take place over winter break. The Billings Girls travel to St. Bart's in the Caribbean and do what they do best: get into trouble!

So stayed tuned . . . there is a lot more Private in store.

So normally I like to use this blog to talk about what I’m working on and what books are coming next (because there are SO many!). But this time I want to talk about YOU! I try to read all the blog comments, and I have to say how impressed I am with all of you. Your analyses of the books and the characters are so well thought out and articulate, and it’s great feedback for me! I love reading your theories about what really happened to Cheyenne, hearing your thoughts on whether Josh and Reed should get back together, and just how damaging Reed’s actions were at the Legacy. I’m so happy to have such smart, dedicated readers. And I was thrilled to see how you rallied around one another when some negative posts showed up (I think I’ve taken most of those down by now. I want this site to be a safe, respectful forum for everyone). So a big thanks to every one of you for being great!

I can’t believe it’s already July 25th!! Where does the time go? I hope everyone’s been enjoying their summers. Mine’s been busy busy busy! Between Private and Privilege, I swear I need 48-hours in a day. But, of course, the good news about ME being busy is that it means that soon YOU will be very busy—reading! Private 8: REVELATION comes out September 16th. Then the Private Prequel: LAST CHRISTMAS comes out October 7th. And then PRIVILEGE comes out December 30th. Phew! I hope none of you will have homework, because obviously my books come first
