This book was amazing! i got it yesterday and i read it in like 2hours. seriously. i couldnt put it down! I do have to say though,i am so sad this series is ending! and i really wish the book could’ve been longer!! I love the Private series so much! Amazing job,Kate with such an amazing series! Please keep on writing! :)

    • Joy says:

Hannah girl!! okay so I never read the Private series way toooo long for me! But I did read the Privilege series idk if you read it but if you have I am dying to know at the end of Vengeance did they mention anything about Ariana attack Reed at college?? Or did they say anything about Reed and Noelle…Let me know girl thanks!!!! <3

      • Joy says:

When I say “say anything about Reed and Noelle” I ment like did they mention about Ariana dying?

      • Hannah says:

i did read privilege and. Privilege is set a few years after private,so no. it doesnt mention anything about it. and yeah, private was really long, but in my opinion it was worth it!! :)

    • Cierra H. says:

I just finished the book seconds ago. I am sad that it’s over and I am shocked. The finale was just crazy, like for starters, how Cheyenne faked her death and came back to kill Reed and tried to use Graham, Paige, and Daniel to do it, but they all failed, thankfully. I actually felt a pang of sympathy for Graham though. He truely was a nice guy…or so I thought. And Missy…. five words… That Bitch Had It Coming!! I’m so glad the police hauled her ass away to jail in the end. That chick was just evil to Reed for no reason all the time!! And Reed saved her life when they were locked in that dungon and Mrs. Kane was going bat-shit crazy!! That seems to be a pretty poor way to repay someone who saved your life. I don’t understand how Missy could be in league with someone who’s mother was going to kill her in the first place. She’s a dumb blond for that one! I am disappointed that Josh and Reed didn’t have sex, but oh well. lol I guess I’ll just have to imagine that scene myself. ;D Overall, Private was an AMAZING series, and I’m sure as hell going to miss it. PEACE OUT, Reed!! You were a thrill while you lasted! :)

  2. abrielle says:

OH MY GOD. YOU GUYS I CAN’T RIGHT NOW IM AT THE END AND IDK IF IM GOING TO PASSOUT OR WHAT BUT OMG HOW?!?!?!? WHAT?WHO? THIS IS TOO MUCH. IM FREAKING OUT

    • astrid says:

looolz , looks like the books really good….*spoiler* seems like i was right about cheyennes death and how they didnt ever say what the evidence was that she commited suicide in the prev books(remember when reed says she saw someone like cheyenne @ her funeral but josh said it must have been her cousin)…and noellsscar!!!!finally….

  3. lindsay says:

That was pure amazement. omg i can’t believe its over i don’t know whether i should cry or be happy haha. but wow that was a beautiful ending :’) I’m going to miss getting excited to read the new book synopsis online, getting giddy over seeing a new cover, and just reading the first page of the book and knowing i have twoo hundred and something pages of nonstop suspense. This series is what got me into reading in the first place and these are the first characters I ever adored and considered them REAL in my book. Sigh.

    • Shaikha says:

Lindsay, I completely agree with you. I’d go CRAZY whenever I saw the new cover or read the first chapter. I’M GONNA MISS PRIVATE SO MUCH!!:( I get to read the book tomorrow, but please tell me the deal with Noelle’ s scar. How did she get it??

  4. Shelli says:

My fiance got me the first couple of books when we first got together four years ago and could never find the time to read them. I got sucked into the books in July this year and read ALL OF THEM really quick and could not wait until Vengeance came out. I just finished it and it is kind of bitter sweet. These characters sucked me in INSTANTLY and the ups and downs in suspense was amazing! I am now 25, and will definitely continue to look for books by Kate Brian. Great series, Great writting and Great Suspense. Kate Brian will definitley be one to follow in the future!

  5. lauren says:

The book was amazing! I read it as fast as I could and though I LOVED the ending, I felt like crying when I read it knowing that it was the end of the series. I’ll definitely miss reading about the Billings Girls (and Josh!). I’ve always felt like I personally knew the characters and that I was with them throughout all the adventures. Thanks so much Kate and I’ll always be channeling the Billings Girls when things get hard! haha

reed gets stalked again through text messaging, they rebuild buildings, someone shows up at the end who you wouldn’t expect trying to once again kill her, and its like the seniors graduation and stuff and the end of the year and yeah i don’t wanna spoil EVERYTHING

  9. Ainslee says:

It couldt of been ariana or it would of said in privlidge

  10. Rachel says:

    SPOILER (MB)

I was very sad to read the last book. Kate you sure gave a huge twist because I never saw any of that coming. If you would have asked me in the beginning my best guess would have been Ariana who came back not who you had. It worked great though. Sad its over but on to find another great book series.

  11. Jill says:

I found Vengeance at my local b&n and read it that day! LOVED IT!

  12. harmony says:

omg i just finished readiing Last Christmas and its A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!! im going to start reading paradise lost, and can someone please give me a really big feed back on the last too books please?? Im kindia confused :)

    • alisandra says:

on ominous and vengeance you mean?? if youre only on paradise lost, you wont understand what goes on in the last two books

      • harmony says:

the last two books i ment revaluation and ambition

        • alisandra says:

did you read them? in ambition noelle finds out reed almost slept with dash and then in revelation reed its just about finding out who killed cheyenne and what not and how she keeps getting stalked and loses everything like her friends, boyfriend, etc. and then ivy and reed team up at the end and find out sabine is arianas half sis and she killed cheyenne to get at reed and make her feel responsible and how she wanted to ostracize her from her friends and she goes to shoot reed but misses and shoots ivy.

  13. madelene says:

OMG just finished reading it. It is so amazing

    SPOILER

i love that it has no magic because that story line sucks and also it has a lot of josh and read moment and about noelle’s scar. cant believe its over i want more

  14. Chloé says:

I just ordered Vengeance and I can’t wait to read it! But it’s so sad this story is ending. As some already said, I’m not sure whether I should cry or should be happy. I wish this story was longer.
I think Noelle is the most awesome person on this book!!! She’s so cool!!!!!
But I was wondering, in the first book Noelle has this huge scar, but how did she get that scar?

    Xx

  15. harmony says:

can someone please give me an compete summery on what happened in revelation please? i read it in the spring but forgot all summer. can you also tell me what happened to sabine after reed found out she killed Cheyenne? And did reed move back into billings? Are her and nolle friends again?

    • alisandra says:

sabine was arrested when she outed herself at kirans party in revelation. and reed wasnt inviited to move back into billings until the end of suspicion but billings is already gone by the time they get back at the end of suspicion.

  16. privateinsider says:

Hey guys! You should ALL ask me questions here: http://www.formspring.me/privateinsider about anything private related or to just state your opinion about what you thought of Vengeance or any other books in general! Or just your opinions! Please and Thanks

  17. Mattie says:

i didnt read this book or ominous but just some pages… i really skipped to the end but wow cheyenne wasn’t dead? This was a real surprise- and Graham really? It does seem like Reed is cursed, especially since Ariana came back to kill her in the PRIVILEGE books, which were amazing too. I love Reed, and while I was sad when I graduated on from The Clique series, I’m glad Kate Brian writes such tangy and inviting novels. But Reed always wins! Congrats Kate!

    • Cierra H. says:

Yeah. I used to read the Clique series too, but then I outgrew it and one day I stumbled on the very first PRIVATE book and I picked it up out of interest and immediatly became a die hard fan. lol :)

  18. Annalyn says:

I just finished reading Vengeance and it was so awesome. I actually read it twice. The book is so awesome that i cant put it down for 5 hours. I hope there would be a spinoff of noelle and josh or maybe Ivy too. :) Keep up the good work, kateb brian! I hope you start a new series which is somehow related to private. :>

  19. Shelby says:

I liked the book a lot! But seriously, (SPOILER!!) I didn’t like how Cheyenne wasn’t actually dead and Grahm was a bad guy. Honestly I was sad that so many characters turned out bad (Missy, Paige, Daniel) I not everyone can be a killer haha but other than that it was good. I’m glad they weren’t witches anymore haha

  20. Hannah says:

I finished the book the day it came out. It was soo good! Definitely not what I was expecting!!! I wanted more after the ending so badly!! I really hope Kate does a series about another Private character!! Even though I liked it, and have been counting down the days since Ominous came out, it was not as good as I would have liked. I want to know more about the future, and everything that is to come for Reed. I REALLY hope there is a spin-off with Noelle or Josh!!

    SPOILER!
I was soo suprised with the Cheyenne thing. I literally like freaked!!! Also, the Graham thing was weird. He is messed up!! My friend said she liked Sawyer better than Josh for Reed after reading this. I could see why she would think this, but noooo way. Josh Hollis all the way!! :)

  21. Sam says:

OMG!! I finished reading Vengeance yesterday and still feel like I want to cry when I think about it! =_[ I still can’t believe it’s over, and when people said it would surprise you, they weren’t kidding. SPOILER: I was shocked about the Cheyenne thing, and I wasn’t that caught off guard that she was a psychopath, but I was heartbroken about Graham honestly; I really liked him. And I felt HORRIBLE for Sawyer and hope that he and Reed remain close friends even though he won’t be at Easton anymore. I’m glad, though, that Reed and Noelle stayed close and that she and Josh end up together; although I wish they’d had their “first time” in this book. The Billings Girls have their happy ending and now it’s time to say goodbye. I can’t do it. I just can’t. Private has been a huge part of my life for almost three years now and I don’t know what I’m going to do without it. It’s one of the best series I’ve ever come across and my love for Reed has grown overtime. I’m glad things turn out awesome for her in the end; she deserves that. I’ll help her have the most amazing senior year ever!! Much love to all you guys! :)

    Private + Privilege = awesome. <3

    ~Sam

  22. privateinsider says:

Questions Questions guys :D come on dont be shyyyy. we know you have lots to say now that the series is over. http://www.formspring.me/privateinsider

  23. Brittany says:

I just can’t believe it’s over. I’ve been reading Private since middle school and I just graduated. I remember waiting out the release date of the books and heading straight to the bookstore after school to get my copy haha. After I finished Vengeance, I just sat there thinking ‘This is it. It’s actually over.’ I just hope this isn’t the end of the line for Reed Brennan. I hope she comes out with a new series about her college life. That would be the best thing EVER. When the book about the Billings girls being witches came out, I was actually really disappointed because I felt like Kate was trying to follow the paranormal trend that seems to have broken out within the last few years, and I had always admired this series for being good without having to have any of that. Even if she had to add it, it was kind of random to just add it all of a sudden when it hadn’t been there throughout the entire series. But none the less, over the years, I’ve really enjoyed Private a memorable part of my tween/teenage years. Kate Brian is definitely my favorite author. Kate, if you’re reading this, you’re an extremely talented writer. Never give it up. -Much Love

  24. Vicky says:

I read the book and i am sad it ended but now I can read the other series with Ariana now I am hearing that she goes back to kill reed is this true and in what book does this happen and I thought Kate was only making the series about Ariana just so she can show the fans what whould happen if she escaped

    • Hannah says:

Privilege is really good! Some people say its better than Private, but I don’t think so. In the last book, Ariana tries to kill Reed. The series is only about Ariana, Reed only appears in the last book. It is about how she escapes and gains back a privileged life as a different person.

  25. Noelle says:

I was actually kinda disappointed in Vengeance. It was too much like every other book: Reed almost gets killed every 5 chapters. It started out pretty lame with the whole eco-building rules, and it just kept getting worse. The ending with Reed, Noelle, Kiran etc at Cheyenne’s house was good but Cheyenne faking her death? REALLY? So does that mean Sabine was a good guy? I mean it was better than Ominous because there weren’t any witches but seriously.. couldn’t it have been a bit more interesting? Oh well.. Cya Kate Brian, its been good (:

    • alisandra says:

I hear ya. the series stopped being good after Revelation. Point blank. And the fact they rebuilt billings like really? what was the point of tearing it down in the first place? and what was the point of the book of spells and shit if after the dad died they stopped doing it? there were a lot of open holes i believe. And im kinda glad its over considering it was starting to get on my nerves. and not to sound perverted or anything, but ive been waiting for reed and joshs first time forever and we didnt even get that..and the book was way to repetitive especially when they started suspecting Josh of being off his meds again like… really? Havent we been over this? and dont even get me started on Cheyenne… that was ridiculous. and made no sense whatsoever. But this series will always be my favorite and I’m still sad its over :/

      • Amanda says:

I completely agree with both of you on everything u said. Not only was i begging for reed and josh to finally have their first time but i also wanted a fricken epilogue. I mean what happens to reed senior year when she is running billings? Or how about her job after college or even if she will marry Josh (which I am really hoping she is going to do)?? What happens to the other characters as well?? I started to love almost all the characters after reading all these fabulous books that it upset me that i couldn’t find out what their futures were :( But i cannot forget how great this series was and how i used to literally freak out when something crazy happened so it will always be in my heart :) <3

        • Noelle says:

Personally I don’t even really like Josh, but yeah I agree with both of you. Like I think they’re good together but haven’t we seen enough of him?? I think 11 books talking about him all the time is a bit annoying and repetative. Also didn’t they sleep together in Ominous? In Reeds bedroom? Lol and ya its so stupid how they tore down billings.. Ambition was one of my favorite books because there was still Billings, and Reed and Noelle were friends! Getting rid of Billings ruined the story a bit for me. I mean although I’m sad the series is over, its due date was looooong overdue. Suspicion, Scandal, Vanished and Ominous were all soooo stupid.

          • alisandra says:

nahh they didnt otherwise kate would of said it somewhere like after when she slept with thomas. and yeah idk it should have ended a while ago but no she had to make it 14. I miss how it used to be like in confessions and inner circle. looking back kinda wants to make me cry because of how much things have changed. Reed defintiely got stronger though thats the only thing i liked the most. and personally, I liked Josh up until Scandal. Him and Reed breaking up should of just stayed like that because they have a lot of issues and i dont like the fact they got back so quick in Scandal especially after reed supposedly almost sleeping with Dash and he was dating Ivy and boom they get back together? it was not believable for me and theyve been annoying since… sorry if this doesnt make sense im tired as hell.

  26. kat says:

how did noelle get the scar?

    • Noelle says:

When she was 7 she was riding a horse, it got scared and she went flying. And she landed on a shovel or something.. hence the scar. Pretty pointless right? I mean why would Kate even mention it in the first place if she was going to make it so lame…

      • Sunshine says:

She made the scar story pointless for a reason. Like Noelle said, not everything has a mysterious story or scandal to it. She built the suspense of Noelle’s scar over the whole series, just to give closure.

  27. Lange says:

Now I want a spin-off of Noelle Langee!!!
    Kate pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee!

    • Courtney says:

YES! I was just thinking about that the other day. That would be sooooooooooooooo good. :)

      • unicornluva! says:

Spin off on Josh!!! i alway wanted to hear what he thought of everything that was going on!!! i also want to know what happened in the future with him!! if things finally settled down with him and reed or if things got more chaotic. i mean i want to know what happened to him in his collage life!!! this is like intense!!! KATE BRIAN. MY NINJA AUTHOR WHE WANT MORE!!!!!

  28. Lange says:

What happened to Noelle in Vengeance? Please tell me everything. I’m anxious because I do not know when Vengeance will be released here in my country. Sorry the bad English.

  29. privateinsider says:

I know this is super annoying… but yeah. Leave Questions/Comments/Opinions/whatever here: http://formspring.me/privateinsider :D

  30. Kirstie Keith says:

I’m sad to see the private books ending but I guess it’s better than them dragging on and on and on and not be as entertaining as they are now. I’m always so excited when the newest private book comes out I usually will read it within the next three hours, then I will be like that’s all!!! I need more!! Thanks Kate for all of the wonderful books you have written about reed! (+Ariana and Elizabeth!)

  31. KateBrianFan says:

I just finished the last book. Wow. The whole series was so amazing. I’m really gonna miss reading about all the characters. Thanks Kate. You’re amazing!

  32. Sirine says:

Well this book was entertaining all along, it’s was great, suspens and all but can i say i am disappointed. Like, for Noelle and Reed father, they didnt say too much about it, just that Reed feel guilty but after the end of the last book, i was waiting for something more big about his death but nothing, Noelle doesnt blame Reed or her grandmother, we didnt hear abt her at all when all the shit came quite bc of her, she gave the book too Reed, it’s her who told her abt the curse, she quite forced her son to hook up with Reed’s mom bc she knew she was a descendant, but nothing abt her she dissapear like the whole witch, spell thing, nothing abt it anymore when it was the big deal during the last book. i thought that this book could have been not the last one but an other bc we quite didnt find anything relate to ominous, which was really great, quite crazy but we learned a lot of things and it’s like all the things we learned disappeared, never existed, we heard a little bit about the curse but nothing. And the end it’s like , all is good, but like quite every end of the book but we all know after she resolved who was trying to kill her there will be again others people who will try. I understood the point of view of Noelle, like girl give up with billings it’s always end up a with some drama but i know that it’s her home and i am fine and i understand her, i just hope for her senior year nobody will try to kill her. i wanted to know more abt the end, how it will be for all pf them bc they quite all graduated except. and yeah like someone said nothing abt Josh and Reed having finally sexe, i know she loves him and trust him but she always have some kind of doubts about him but i understand her, but yeah he is the perfect boyfriend.
Anyway i was just sad abt the last tome but i LOVED this serie novel, i read the 13 first books in like 5 days, my friend told me about, and i devored them, i didnt sleep pr i splet like at 9 am, reading all the night and morning bc it was so entertaining, i couldnt not read the other one book after, so thank you very much, i am so sad bc i will miss read this fabulous, amazing, best serie novels. i cant believe it’s the end, i loved so much each characters, i will miss them a lot, it was a great travel, something will miss in my life but anyway thank you
Sorry for the faults i am french, i read the 4 first books in french and then in English
i would love the hear abt what do you thing abt my comment abt the last book, if i am the only one who feel quite frustrated, anyway miss this serie novels

    • Sirine says:

woo sorry for the faults, it was ” they quite all graduated excpet Reed and Constance”

      • sonia says:

you said exactly what i was thinking.. i loved the books but i was disappointed too! who knows if reed is going to get attacked after? she should have graduated, at least then she would be far away from the Billings curse or something… it leaves too many things unresolved and some parts seemed too random.

  33. privateinsider says:

save me from boredom :’) http://formspring.me/privateinsider Ask me anything :D

  34. Renée says:

I looooooved the whole series, but I have to admit the ending disappointed me, I thought something really dramatic would happen, like Ariana would come back or Reed would die or something. It kind of seemed like the author was running out of ideas after the first 8 novels. But I still love how she writes and the books in general.

  35. Sunshine says:

If you read the last book in Privilege, where Ariana tries to kill Reed, it says that Reed was sleeping with a gun under her pillow. So I don’t think we are supposed to assume that everything was peaceful and quiet after Reed left Billings, because if she thought the drama was over, there would be no reason for her to be sleeping with a gun under her pillow in college, an entire year later. I would love for the series to continue, and to find out what happened while Reed was running BIllings, and following her life when she went away to school. And also I would love to read the conversation Noelle and Reed had with Jasper after Ariana died.

    • Becca says:

Lol, can you even begin to imagine that conversation!!
Jasper- What do you mean her name is really Ariana?
Noelle- Three years ago, she went to mine and Reed’s old school, Eastan Academy. She killed one of our classmates Thomas because he dumped her and started going out with Reed. And just an hour ago she tried to kill Reed. Oh, and I’m assuming she killed the really Briana Leigh and it’s not concrete yet, but I’m pretty positive now that she killed my friend Kiran as well.
*Cue to Jasper instantly vomiting, fainting or falling to the floor and breaking down into hysterical sobs/screams.
I felt so bad for Jasper in the end, the kid was a total sweetheart and Ariana lied to him about EVERYTHING. Poor kid would need soooo much therapy after finding out who Ariana really was.

      • Adysen says:

OMG,I KNOW! I was so curious to know what would happen after that. Poor jasper:( I looooved him. I loved Bridgette & Lexa too. I feel like so many people died in this series,it was kinda depressing especially since I liked all of them. Even though all that occured,I pretty much rooted for Ariana the whole privilege series, only because there was two crazy bitches in the series & “Lillian” seemed more disturbed than Ariana. I guess Kate Brian just has a way of making people feel for anyone she desires lol.

        • Cierra H says:

I felt the same way. If it wasn’t for Ariana then Brianna Leigh, Lexa, Brigit, Kiran, Dr. Meloni and Kaitlynn (though she deserved to die) would still be alive and Jasper would have never got played. Palmer was a douche. I would have left his ass too, but I loved Jasper and what Ariana put him through was not fair. I mean, I understand that she can’t tell him about all the things she’s done. I mean, duh. But at the same time. I just wish that there was a better way for him…? If that makes sense. I mean Ariana came to him outta nowhere and told him that she was leaving and that either he was coming or he was never going to see her again. And I mean, she was asking him to leave his life and his friends and family all of a sudden and she wouldn’t even tell him why and then it all backfired and he basically had to watch her die in the hospital. And still, unless Noelle told him the truth about ‘Anna’, he never got an explaination.Thats some effed up mess. Poor Jasper.

  36. Nia says:

Omg!!! I just finished reading the story seconds ago&& all I can say is WOWSERSS!!! The finale was soooo crazy, my mind was spinning!(; Im really sad this series is over I have been reading this series for years now, for it to be finally over really sucksss): I still cant believe everything with cheyenne especially since I didn’t see it coming&& i wish it had more of future ending for Reed but it was AWESOME!! I HOPE YOU WRITE A NEW SERIES!! I <3 KATE BRIAN

  38. Andie says:

omg havent read it yet cant wait to get it! but im dying whats the story behind noelles scar i didnt really see anything on here explaining it can someone please tell me about the mystery!?

    • Cierra H says:

Noelle tells the story in Vengeance at a party when Ivy notices it and asks about it in front of all the Billings Girls. Noelle called it her own near death experience. Basically, when Noelle was a kid, she went horseback riding and something happened and the horse freaked out and threw her off of him and she went flying into the air and landed on a rake and thats how she got that ugly scar. She said that the doctor did the best he could with fixing her but he still screwed her up. It was a miracle she survived. She could have been killed.

  39. Jewels says:

OMG!!!! I’m so sad :( These were like my fa books all summer I COULD NOT STOP READING THEM!!!!!! Now Private and Privilege are over.

  40. Adysen says:

    ***SPOILER ALERT*****
I AM SO SAD THIS SERIES IS OVER! I loved this series from the very beginning! Cheyenne coming back was the biggest freakin’ twist EVER!!! I was shocked! I loved Sawyer & Graham in the beginning, but Graham is seriously messed up. Poor Sawyer though, such a good guy. Josh is waaaay better for Reed though. I’ve read both the private and the privilege series and I am so sad to know Kiran is killed by Ariana! I really liked Ariana in the beginning, but she is crazy as hell. I wonder if people ever found out she killed those two people in Last Christmas? Ohhh well. Back to my point,Im so upset about the series ending. I hope Kate Brian writes more with these characters,I feel so connected to them. I feel like im actually one of the fabulous Billings Girls. (I WISH) Annnnyway, great book Kate Brian! Keep em’ coming!(:

  41. Ama says:

why was Cruel Love released before Vengeance if its obviously supposed to come after it????

  45. Awi says:

    SAWYER!!!!!

  46. Janell says:

Dear Kate Brian u are the best author i have ever read. The first book i read was Invitation only is was a sad book:( I felt sad for Reed when her boyfriend Thomas died. can u make more books feruring the hole series of private.

  47. Tasha says:

    ***SPOILER***

Really Cheyenne was the stalker than what was the point of Arc 2(Inner Circle to Revelation) I can really see why Cheyenne was a psyco though, I mean look at all the crap Mrs Kane was talking about in Omnious.

You can’t exactly fake your own death if a person forces you to commit suicide??? So Sabines ‘technically’ innocent unless it was some giant scam the 2 of em’ put together. I mean Sabine admitted the truth about holding the gun to Cheyennes head and forcing her to take those pills and the body the police hauled off was dead yet she was alive. but it does explain Reeds ‘cheyenne’ sightings.

Kate Brian I love Private but the ending was shabby and seemed to contradict the whole entire
series. The ending for Privilege was way better. Actually I expected Ariana to be the phsyco here ( even though there was Cruel Love) but the series was great overall and I’m trying to get others to read it

lol If I don’t get a Josh Hollis spin offf, I will commit suicide. Just… throwing that out there.

    • Cierra H says:

I feel the same way. Like a spin off of Reed and Josh together and maybe a little Noelle thrown in there cause she’s funny. :)

  49. Stasi says:

Vengeance was AMAZING. I almost didn’t read the final Private novel because I knew that would mean that I had nothing to look forward to when it came to the Private series. I finished ‘Cruel Love’ a month or two ago, so I couldn’t wait to read Vengeance! But, when I got the book, my mind changed. After reading a 16-novel book series, you grow to love every single character, good or evil. They all are what formed the series, after all. Before Thomas died, I was a MAJOR Reed/Thomas fan. But reading the entire series and watching Reed and Josh’s romance form, I felt like I was a part of their relationship! lol. Reading so much about Easton made me wish I could go to Easton, even with all the drama. Having the types of friends that would stick by Reed no matter what means everything. I got very upset at the end after Noelle graduated and send Reed the text message: It’s all you Glass-Licker. Don’t screw it up. <–That brought back so many memories! Of when they first, how Reed finally became a Billings Girl.. The Private series is PHENOMINAL, and I will most likely end up reading it all over again one day. Private deserves to be a movie saga; it's the perfect plot for a movie! Make: Private, Invitation Only, Untouchable, and Confessions the first films. Make: Inner Circle, Legacy, Ambition, and Revelation the second film. Make: Paradise Lost, Suspicion, and Scandal the third film. And for the final, fourth movie (or split it in to two like every film franchise seems to be doing lately), make it: Vanished, Ominous, and Vengeance! And obviously, have Last Christmas come out a prequel after Confessions, and Last Christmas a prequel after Vanished! This series is absolutely amazing, and I wish I could re-live every sweet, crazy, funny, and exciting moment of.! <3

I think that this book would be better suited for a tv show series. But you are definitely right! I would love to see these books on the big screen :)

      • Kaitlyn says:

I completely agree that it should be a television show! Because not only could they do all the books, but with the tv show, they might even be able to continue on past where the series went, like Reed’s senior year, etc. It would be great!

I love this series so much. I found out from reading this series that i love to read. I read this book a while ago and loved it. Unfortunately I am really upset that the series is over. Your a great writer Kate but i wish you would have finished the series with Reed graduating from high school. If the school is really cursed then i would think more drama would present itself to Reed and her pals. Non the less i love your books and i thank you for writing them.

    • Kate says:

Ermmmm…..Chyenne is alive and she and graham were going to kill her…reed decides to rebuild billing but someone is trying to upset the plan…everytime something goes wrong reed receives a text…in the end you find out that it is Sawyer…..Noelle and Josh graduate but Reed is coming back next term.

  54. Kelsey says:

wait, so is the Privilege series going to be continued or is that done too!?
and i loved the book but was hoping Ariana came back instead and it involved her, cause that woulda been pretty sick and i feel like the series could continue and i’m sad it’s over, i love it SOOOOO much <333

  56. Anna says:

LOVE! I miss Thomas. :( I was rereading the first book and he was amazing. Too bad his death couldn’t have been faked. Haahah. Ahhh.. Noelle?and Dash. Where’s my Boarding School hunk?

  57. Samantha says:

I thought the book was kind of weak. I was glad Brian left out the whole magic thing because it didn’t really fit the story line and it made it seem like she was desperate to come up with a twist like she always does. Brian also went on and on about how everything was just perfect after Cheyenne was arrested and I never thought she would end the series with a happy ending. It’s kind of a shame because I loved the rest of the books so much!

  58. Samantha says:

And, also, the whole Cheyenne coming back from the dead deal was kind of lame. Like she was having a hard time coming up with something to shock us with. Again.

  59. Ayoung2 says:

Well okay for starters i absolutely LOOOOOVE the series. And i love how much happened in this book but i really feel as if more could have been told about josh and reed? Like what comes next for them. Possibly another series on the subject?

  60. Kaitlyn says:

I read the book in like 2 hours and then proceeded to throw it across the room. The series ended and Reed hasn’t even gone through her senior year, it is fair! I want more private! If it would have been tied together and we were informed what happened after Easton for Reed, if her and Josh say together, talk more about senior year, and the new Billings house, etc. Don’t get me wrong I LOVED the book, just wish the series wasn’t ending like that.

  61. Amelia says:

So, I lovee this series wayy too much, and I can’t believe it’s over! I think there needs to be a book written in Noelle’s point of view, and I agree with Kaitlyn…we need to finish Reed’s senior year!

  62. Melissa says:

I been a fan of Kate Brian for a looooong time; I read all of the Private and Privilege books and her other books outside of her series. And I honestly want to say thank you for writing such an amazing series. Initially, I never liked to read at all, but once I was given the first Private book as a gift, I started to love reading. And sense that day, I love to read and write and want to become a successful author myself. I really enjoyed following Reed through her journey, and many near-death experiences, and Ariana through her mission to regain her life of privilege. I feel that this series is like no other, it’s amazing, and I loved following through every step of the way. I also loved the web series, and hope that there is more to come. Thank you soo much Kate Brian for not only writing a great series of books, but for being my inspiration in wanting to pursue a career in writing. I never knew what I was missing, until I read your books. :)

When I first started reading this serious I was in freshmen year of High School. And the only reason why I got the book in the first place was because the girls in the cover looked so mean, like they were hiding something. I never thought that I would end up reading and buying all the 14 books. I think it is one of the best serious I have ever read. It keeps you asking for more every times you opened it. and I do have to say that always hated how every book end, leaving you with a cliff hanger. It still made me fall in love with every single member of the Billing House. And of course our beloved guys Dash, Thomas even though he was there for a short time and most importantly Josh Hollis who was always loved Reed no matter what went on. It is sad to see that there will be no more Billing gilrs, but it all end in the best way.

    • Cierra H. says:

I started reading Private two years ago. I was a sophmore in high school. Originally, I was going to purchase the next book in The Clique series. but it wasn’t there. Next to the place where it should have been was Private and I thought. “why not?” I bought it and literally finished it in the next couple of days. Would have been sooner but I had work to do. I loved it! I went back during the weekend and bought the next few and plowed through those. I had traded The Clique for Private and I never went back. I was reading The Clique mostly in middle school and freshman year, but switched to Private my sophmore year. The same year Reed came to Easton. lol I’m sad it’s over. Vengeance came out in the very begining of my senior year of high school. And now I have to find something else to read. :( But I absolutly love it. I bought the entire series along with Privilege and every now and then, I’ll pull them off my book selves and re-read them.

  65. Sarah says:

I totally hate how Mr.Lange Dies!!!!!!!!!!!!! I mean, she just knew he was her father, didn’t even get to know the guy,and he ends up dying..OMINOUS WAS SOOO SAD!! Vengeance was shocking didn’t expect that…Shouldn’t there be a Private Sequel or a Privilege Sequel? Like Reed maybe in Cornell, her and Josh Blah Blahh, their kids&Noelle+Dash, and Kiran..Wonder who Kiran would end up, heard she got pushed off the bridge? Then there’s Taylor. I call Vengeance as an Open ending…It should have been closed..Like 3 or 2 Years Later…Then a couple of chapters…BUT…it was awesome!

  66. Maine says:

This is the best series ever.. :) I read finish both private and privilege. tbh, I loooove the main characters Ariana and Reed. Ariana may be a psycho but she’s just … wow you know? :p

    • Maine says:

And oh, I’m really sad that this book of series ended. KATE YOU GOTTA WRITE MORE! How I wish there was a movie for this.. My life would be MADE. & imagine if we fans could act as one of the characters in it, wouldn’t that be cool?! :) sighhhh, like what you guys said, what am I suppose to do with my life now??

    • Kevin says:

on the Bay was nothing short of a prptoghaoher’s dream! I knew after photographing their engagement session in Fells Point earlier this summer that their wedding would be equally as beautiful & fun! I

  67. Ariana says:

Haha funny how you’re all going to hate my name. And sorry Private fans, but I think Private has been a bit try-hard lately.

I mean seriously, how can a girl possibly be attempted murder on for like, what, eight times? It’s just the same old story repeated over and over again. Of course, the books have been great, and I was really caught up in the “glory” of Billings House – but afterall, it’s just a bunch of girls trying to live a fun life partying, and that’s not fun to read about. Even the best politics and schemes turn bad after repeated a FEW times.

If Kate Brian still wants our attention, she has to try something new and creative, and something realistic. Learn from your own character, Brian; Noelle Lange will do you more good than Reed.

And apologies for my rudeness, fans of Private.

  68. i_love_private says:

if reed, noelle, paige and daniel are all descendants of theresa billings, wouldn’t that make them reed/noelle cousins with paige-daniel?
