This book will definitely be good, and will leave a final good apression on the last book of the series. I never thought I would miss the Private series, but I truly will. At least there is a newer series in the light and I can’t wait to read the 2nd book, and jump back into the newer series and read the Book of Spells.

I hope that when Cruel Love comes out, I hope that Arianna gets what she deserves. She obviously doesn’t realize that she needs major anger management lessons. She is no doubt a psychopath. Just by searching for Reed with desire to murder her just proves she needs a negative ending to teach her a lesson

I think that we love the girl that she is when she’s not crazy, that’s why. I want the best for her… As bad as that is. lol It’s just how I am.
She’s not just a psychopath! She obviously has some mental problems like OCD and a panic disorder but that doesn’t mean she’s a bad person, on the contrary it means she deserves love and support, not hatred and condemnation. If you knew what it was like to live with mental problems you’d understand, like when Ariana killed Thomas, she loved him but when you are having a panic attack the only thing on your mind is to make everything around you just STOP. I think Kate Brian did an amazing job of humanizing a murderer in a very realistic fashion. I empathize with her greatly and just want her to have her life back and a happy ending.
Besides, if anyone deserves a terrible fate it’s that Dr. Meloni. Ariana doesn’t deserve that kind of abuse from someone who’s meant to help her. Nobody does.
i dont like her. nothings going to change what I think about her. Shes a serial killer no matter what way you look at it. Her escaping was fine but the fact that she just kills people and then goes “oops just killed that person for no reason” makes me mad more than anything. and okay? she has panic attacks and we all snap that doesn’t mean kill someone. The only thing keeping me going during Privilege was Kaitlynn. Cause I happen to think she did bring a lot to the Privilege series and it was good to finally see someone Ariana couldn’t just take out so easy it took time. The only time I remember liking Ariana was in Last Christmas cause i thought her and Thomas were amazing together. She expects to repercussions that she can have her fabulous life at Harvard or Yale or wherever she wanted to go and that things will be okay. but i doubt that’ll happen now.
So you’re saying it’s right to kill all the people Ariana has killed, and that she should be able to get away with it? It doesn’t matter if she has panic attacks. It’s just not morally right.
I completely agree! After reading the Privilege series, I have grown to understand and like her more, but she is a killer. She doesn’t deserve a happy ending.
If the series (both Private and Privilege) ends with Ariana killing Reed or Noelle, I would be really disappointed.
I do sympathize with her sometimes (to a small degree!) because the way they described her childhood, it sounded pretty miserable. But she’s a sociopath for sure (I’m gonna go with sociopath, not psychopath because when she does kill people she at least admits that she knows it was wrong, if she was a psychopath I don’t think she would think that way), remember in Last Christmas, after she kills that European kid with the camera, its says something like “She waited for the remorse to sink in… and it didn’t. She felt lighter, it had been so easy.” I have no doubt she does have some mental diseases but that’s seems like a definite sign that she’s sociopathic.

Private is THE BEST and I don’t know what I’ll do without it. I can’t believe that this time next year it’ll be over. I haven’t been reading it since it first came out, but I got introduced to it in December 2008, and I’ve loved them ever since. Very nice Joe, eelicsalpy the filling a need section. It just shows how a little creativity can take you a long way! Great job. I’d also encourage any blogger to gain a little web development knowledge if possible (php for example), as it can open a lot of doors, in and out of the blogosphere.Just as a quick example, 18 months ago I didn’t know what an html tag was, let alone anything else. After some playing around with existing scripts, which gradually led on to full scale development, I recently got offered 2 jobs within large UK businesses, in no small part due to the skills I was able to demonstrate as a result of my web development work!

4 DAYS GUYS!! The waiting is killing me! lol I just REALLY hope it doesn’t snow hard on Tuesday, because if it does, I don’t want to hold off on getting the book. My local bookstores never release the books early, so I always have to wait for the day they come out, because ordering it online takes even longer usually to deliver. And even on the day, it’s usually during the week, so I still have to finish the school day before I can finally get it. It sucks. =\

OMG I got Ominous yesterday and it is sooooooo good!!!!! Not AS good as the other books but totally better than Vanished!!!!!!!! It is definitely a must-read if you love the private series! The ending is sooooo shockinggg! I won’t give anything else away, just that it’s an AWESOME book!!!!!!!

2 DAYS! =D I want to thank the four people who’ve commented so far saying they read the book for not spoiling it; I can’t tell you guys how much I appreciate that (I’m so used to people spoiling it before I could get it in past books it’s not even funny). All I’ve heard about this is that it’s awesome, the things I’ve read in the description, and that Reed and Josh are in it a lot and all of that is great. I don’t know anything about the order of detailed events; how anything turned out or what happened. I’m particularly curious about what goes on at Reed’s birthday party, something else I read in the description for the next book, and I’m so excited to find out about that and how it ends; I’m so glad no one’s said it. Sometimes, people have done that in the past where they go over the whole book in spoilers (a few times without even putting spoiler alert before it), and that annoys me to no end. Anyway, I’m hanging in there, and hoping I can wait just a little bit longer because my bookstore sucks. lol We’ll all get to enjoy it really soon!! AAAA! <33

Pure Sin takes place 1-2 years after Ominous, so Ariana still hasn’t broken out of prison yet.

these books are loosing there touch -___- they just arent the same anymore I mean Ominous was good don’t get me wrong, but they’re just so caught up in this superstitious crap it just bothers me. The only thing kept me going honestly were the Josh and Reed moments they really stepped it up in this book. I just idk Reed like wants to run into trouble cause she always risks her life and her friends life.
